From Tennessee to Boston to New York, writing has been the throughline. As a kid I was always writing stories (and my mom still has the newspaper I wrote for my dolls tucked away somewhere). At Tufts, I wrote for The Tufts Daily as a news writer, covering everything from campus mental health, to protests against tuition hikes, to language learning programs that paired students with refugees. After a brief stint interning at the House of Commons in London and at Boston City Hall, I enrolled in NYU’s graduate journalism program in the Magazine & Digital Storytelling program.

As a journalist, I am tasked with telling stories yet untold and giving voice to corners of our society that are too often left ignored and neglected. Good storytelling encourages us to see other people, communities, ideas, and experiences in new ways. I hope that my work will ignite curiosity and encourage folks to care a bit more about the world around them than they did before.
