Hello! I’m Emily, a journalist based in New York City.

I have experience covering politics and public policy, with a keen interest in labor issues, the criminal justice system, and Appalachia and the South. I also enjoy covering arts and entertainment, social media, and subcultures. Naturally, anything that falls at the intersection of politics and pop culture fascinates me.

I finished my Master’s in Journalism at NYU in May 2023. Most recently, I interned at Interview and at WNYC’s All Of It with Alison Stewart, a live daily radio show on all things culture, where I produced segments on everything from debut novels to how to find a therapist to behind-the-scenes looks at the making of Best Picture Nominees.
